PipFarm recently had the pleasure of interviewing one of our top traders, Michele Rossi, an Italian trader who has made strides in the world of day trading. In this exclusive interview, Michele shared his inspiring journey, challenges, and successes as a trader.
Michele’s trading journey began at the age of 18, shortly after high school. Originally a musician, he toured Italy and Europe, earning a modest income. Faced with the decision of what to do with his earnings, Michele knew he didn’t want to simply store his money in the bank or under the mattress, as the saying goes in Italy. Instead, he turned to investing and began learning about the stock market.
His first venture into investing was through the S&P 500, where he saw modest but consistent returns. However, his interest in day trading grew after joining a Discord community discussing NFTs and blockchain technology. There, Michele was introduced to the concept of day trading, and after much research and self-study, he dove in.
Over the next few years, Michele developed his trading strategies, starting with a small live account of just $8,000. He avoided demo accounts, preferring to trade with real money to feel the true pressure of the market. His journey eventually led him to the world of prop firms, and after encountering MyForexFunds, he went on to manage over $6 million in funded accounts across multiple platforms.
Despite facing setbacks, including the loss of all his funded accounts in a single day, Michele’s resilience shone through. He emphasized the importance of having a solid trading plan and sticking to it, offering advice to other traders: “Write a plan and follow the plan. If you struggle with impulsiveness, find an accountability partner or a community to keep you on track.”
